Technology Review: How Obama <em>Really</em> Did It

This is an interesting article about how Obama has been using Web 2.0 tools to effectively leverage his volunteer base.  It’s a nice example of how so-called social media can supercharge a group of people my making relationships more transparent and immediate across distances.  It really allows for organized and inspired communities to organize and respond quickly and powerfully to events that would previously take considerable time.

This is probably the article that best describes my own experience having reserached Wikipedia.  There is alot of public misperception about Wikipedia – inaccurate, open to anyone, an ad-hoc venture.  This article reveals the best and the worst, the closest thing to an unvarnished picture as I have yet read.  It’s a fascinating environment, a pity that people only read the articles from time to time
